Friends and Fellow Travellers 🙂
Progress on the new TMTCH album project, The Wave, continues to be intense and satisfying. Out of a projected 26 songs, we have embarked on 20. Four of these are done, while the others range from just launched to approaching final landfall. We anticipate finishing recording everything by May next year and our ambition is to release the whole project in October 2027. Whether it will be as two single albums, one double album or some other hybrid has yet to be decided. All feedback welcome….
Single Release
A couple of the songs are now at the mixing stage and soon we’ll be choosing one of them to be the first proper release from the Wave Sessions. Exciting! This will happen in October via this Bandcamp page and hopefully we will have a video clip to accompany along with a lot more information and context. The two prime contenders are The Molly and These Are Our Demands. They are both sounding fantastic so it’s going to be hard to choose…
King’s Shilling Volume 2
And there’s more! In November we’ll be releasing Volume 2 of our fundraising demo CD project The King’s Shilling (Volume 2). This will contain the next batch of early demos for the album, many recorded in Swill’s shed as before. Tracks include; If We Don’t Stand Up (We’re Gonna Fall), So Many Ways We Go, Sea Bird, Kings Of Hard Luck Lane and Swept Away and many others. Pre sale links for this CD/Download will appear in advance of release, once again on ‘The Men They Couldn’t Hang present The Wave’ Bandcamp page. There will also be an opportunity to get your names on the CD sleeve for those who missed out last time.
Please check back regularly for more updates…..
